reinventing the house

  1. Hi Andrea,

It looks like your design is coming along well. Since we didn't get to chat last Monday and you've posted your work in progress, some suggestions I would have include:
    - More distinctly showing the contrast between the "warm" interior you described in your poster (which I haven't yet seen), and the modern exterior (which you've shown in your above images).
    - Show some renders of the interior, showing how light falls across the surfaces inside. Adding essential items of furniture would help people know what the spaces in the renders are used for.
    - Using simple diagrams (perhaps hand drawn?) to show how you took the form of the original design, and modified it in a consistent, logical way to get your new design (focusing on columns and walls as things that define space and its quality).

Lastly, it's a small thing, but I should also mention that Eisenmann's style for your building's design was "deconstructivism", rather than "deconstructionism".

    Keep up the hard work,
    Steve
